The iPhone 14 and iPhone 14 Plus appear to be getting a new yellow color option soon, alongside the current blue, purple, midnight (black), starlight (cream) and red – Apple is hoping this could boost sales of these two cheaper models iPhone 14.

This comes from a source on a Chinese social network Weibo (opens in a new tab) By Mac Otakara (opens in a new tab) AND MacRumors (opens in a new tab). While the first tipster doesn’t have much track record, MacRumors does – and says Apple is planning a product briefing next week.

While we can’t be sure of any rumors or leaks until it’s actually confirmed, Apple has a form for adding new iPhone colors for this time of year: green for the iPhone 13 last year and purple for the iPhone 12 a year earlier.
